Rendering is the process by which XML code is used to construct the publishing format. In conventional publishing, it is called composition. In contemporary publishing domain the term rendering is specific to electronic publishing. It is an automated process of taking XML data and presenting it in a particular format readable to different Medias (Computer Screen, Web, iPad, Mobile devices, Paper, etc).
